Very good location! Delicious food, good prices and nice staff! We recommend!

Very cozy interior. The food is great but not for vegetarians. Typically Westphalian, various meat dishes play the main role; the usual side dishes are acceptable. The fun is not cheap, which is absolutely fair given the large portions and nice service. Overall, definitely worth a visit in winter or at Christmas time.

A very nice, quaint and special place with very tasty dishes and nice service. I don't know whether the fireplace in the restaurant is used, but it makes a difference. We recommend.

The food and the ambience were good. Only the bench and chair seats were kind of gross. We sat in a corner with several windows and two benches. The covers of the benches were slightly damp, moldy and totally worn and dirty. These would have to be re-purchased! We'll only be back when it has been renovated!

Very quaint, great restaurant! If you like German home cooking, you will definitely find it here. The food was very tasty and the service was great too :) We especially noticed that we didn't wait 20 minutes for our food, even though the shop was full. We would love to come back :)

Regional cult restaurant with a very rustic, rural, museum ambience. Very worth seeing & interesting. The menu reads varied. The landlady was very friendly, accommodating and told us about the history of the house. There is so much to look at and marvel at. The guest sits very comfortably. The waiting time for the food is reasonable. The food was nicely presented in rustic iron pans or on specially made dishes. One star deduction: the bratwurst was not well seasoned (that's due to the butcher!) & Unfortunately dry, the other dishes on the plate were too spicy & the portion was way too big.

Excellent food and friendly service. Nice and cosy interior. The ambiance was a bit quiet due to Covid-19, but that will pick up as soon as people start going out again. If we ever visit Münster again, we will surely go back.

Delicious eaten again in cozy old atmosphere. TIP: Schweine Haxe with sauerkraut and fried potatoes with bacon in it. Attentive service from the young lady. Good hygiene due to corona and good distance too.

A really traditional German restaurant that need to be tried. The service is amazing, really kind peoples, the environment in the restaurant make a really good German feeling. The food is generous and also really tasty. With some German beer you can get the full experience !

Probably one of the best typical German restaurant I have ever been to. There is a good variety of food, menus also in English, a lot of places to sit and good service.

Vegetarians beware, only two meals without meat

Food was delicious, but the blond young waitress should visit the doctor some time soon. I haven't seen such level of vanity in a very long time.

Service was poor. And the place is old. The chair broke halfway through the meal! Avoid!

Great authentic Westphalian food. Service was also prompt and on point with no issues. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Muenster Germany.

This is a must din in place for tourists. The restaurant is decorated in traditional German style, staffs are in traditional clothes. Food is around 20 euros, but it is in huge portion and a lot of meat! Beer is around 5 euros.

The waitress that looked after us was very friendly and attentive and patient with our attempts to speak German! Food was plentiful and delicious, and even though it was 28 degrees c outside (I would love to come back on a cold evening!) we loved every bite.

This place is absolutely beautiful, located in a carefully restored old farm house, all wooden beams, nooks and crannies. The atmosphere is incredible and it is worth going there once in a while just for that. However the prices are steep and the food is just decent. Good local cuisine but nothing to write home about which isn't really worth the price of admission. If you want to soak in the atmosphere go right ahead. If you want to have good local food go to the "Altes Gasthaus Leve" or as a secret recommendation you can go to "Mutter Birken" which boasts some of the best "Bratkartoffeln" (fryed potatos) in the city.

Very bad, I revisited this place and brought my friends because it was nice last time. But this time I’ve got insulted. So I was paying my bill which was 22,50 and I gave 30. I wanted to give some tips as well, but I said mistakenly I will have 25 back instead of I will pay 25. I realized and apologized, but the waiter said (or joked) that was Chinese, given the fact that he knew that I am Chinese.

Super! Not a single thing to complain about. The place is awesome, the atmosphere incredible and the service amazing. We felt very welcomed by the staff, who made sure to give us the best German experience possible. They were clearly very professional and experienced. The food was excellent and worth every penny. Thank you very much for this great evening and all the best for the future!

Great service. The pork knuckles and the lumberjacks steak are great. Herren's creme and the Apfelstrudel are good too.

Traditional German. Good food offering of local dishes. Very touristy, but if you can see through that, then you can drink locally brewed beer and eat good food.

It is an intim-old-place, with friendly stuff, great bear and tasty german food. Unique and intim, perfect to everyone, if you want to have great memories!! I'd recommand, and ENJOY it!!
